Awesome. I can never watch enough shows about Cheech & Chong.

rented this new release from Blockbuster a couple days ago because I saw Willie Nelson and Woody Harrelson on the back of the DVD, so I knew there would be weed in the movie. Not the greatest movie in the world, but I liked it OK, considering I was smoking some really good reefer while watching it. Here is what Netflix says:

Laid-back Steve Addington (Matthew McConaughey) lives his dream life as he tours the globe, catching the best waves in every hemisphere. But when he returns to Malibu, things change: The good waves have disappeared, and to his great dismay, they don’t return all summer! Soon, Steve begins to question his existence, searching for meaning in his life with no waves to ride. Woody Harrelson and Willie Nelson co-star in this comic romp.

Shortly after Pineapple Express was released in the theatres, Spike TV made a list of their top 10 stoner movies of all-time. It’s a pretty good list, but I don’t entirely agree with the order. I’ll sho their list first, and then give my own list afterward.

Ok, that is a pretty damn good list, and I’m too stoned right now to think of any more movies to add to it or change, but I can change the order to reflect my personal favorites from that list.

Man I just watched this DVD. I need to be on a damn show like that. The DVD is about the 2000 Cannabis Cup, but part of it is a reality TV show they did called Cannabis Castaways. On the show, several stoners were placed on a boat where they will live for a couple weeks, with an ENDLESS UNLIMITED supply of the world’s finest weed, and their mission is to smoke each strain of weed and vote on it. One strain would be “voted off” the boat each day until they were left with only one superior strain of marijuana, which would be the winner of that years Cannabis Cup competition.

Again, I say, I need to be on a show like that.

and my damn DVD player quit working. I just watched a DVD earlier today, but now every fucking disc I try to play comes back with “Disc Error” on the screen. I’ve tried turning the power off, unplugging the DVD player and plugging it back in, I even ran a DVD cleaner disc thing in there but it too came back with “Disc Error”… so I don’t know what the hell is wrong. Pisses me off though. Now I’ve got to find something else to watch with my freshly packed bowl. Damn, I was looking forward to watching this DVD.

Homegrown is a great movie. The cast is full of awesome stars and big names including Billy Bob Thornton, John Lithgow, Jon Bon Jovi, Hank Azaria, Kelly Lynch, Ryan Phillippe, Judge Reinhold, Ted Danson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jake Gyllenhall, Maggie Gyllenhall and more! (The film is directed by Stephen Gyllenhall).

The movie is about three pot growers taking over their murdered bosses cash crop, and subsequently find themselves in way over their head.

This is one of the better marijuana movies that I’ve seen.

Tonight on HBO: GANJA QUEEN – “A behind-the-scenes look at the trial of Schapelle Corby, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for smuggling marijuana into Indonesia.”
